Wrapping up my wonderful first year at Auburn... [Apr. 22nd, 2007|01:59 pm]
[Current Mood |thoughtfulthoughtful]

The semester is almost over & I am shutting the door on my first year of college. I can't believe it went by so fast. I think I've done a little bit of growing up. I've made some accomplishments in my personal life as well as in school. Plus I have the greatest friends in the world and they have made this year so much fun: Ally, Matt, Kaitlin, Catherine, Martin, Bramer, Tubbi, Kim, Kelly, Amanda, Rachel, Paulina, Joey and many more. I will never forget all the fun times we had together this year and I will miss you guys over the summer - So you better come visit me! There is only one thing left to do and that is decide what I want to major in, but I'm sure it will come to me.

But there is only one thing left that is troubling me and that is the fact that my best friend Ally might not be at Auburn next year. So, in her honor I will never forget: our tattoos, Grund's hand on fire, Degrassi & the O.C., Soup in a Cup, Hawthorne Heights/Relient K, the weirdest three weeks ever, Football season, going out like Jimmy Hendrix, the guys of B102, never taking pictures, jumping on the bed, getting tucked in, trips to the mall, Victoria's Secret, the Roach incident, hepatitis (haha Nancy) and so many more great memories. I really don't want you to leave but I know you have things you need to accomplish. Just know that Auburn will not be the same without you. I love you!

[Current Mood |flirtyChristmas-y!]

This Thanksgiving Break has been really good for the most part.
I got to spend time with my family and see all my old friends again.
It made me realize what is really important in life & what I was missing.
I am actually going to be a little sad to go back to Auburn.
Just because when I get there I know that finals are coming up.
My lab final is Thursday and I haven't even looked over it.
I'm nervous about it, but I think I'll be okay though.

I just can't wait to come back home for Christmas.
Our tree is up and decorated. The house has almost all the lights.
I love Christmas. It is my favorite time of year.
Everything about it just puts me in a good mood. :)
It is the perfect time to cuddle up to that special someone.
I suggest you all get out there and start snuggling.

P.S. I saw Happy Feet twice! It is the cutest movie. Go see it.

It took a long weekend at home for me to really decide what was best for me and what I should do with my life. So after much stress and deliberation, I have made a decision. I have decided to change majors. I am no longer Pre-Med. I want to major in Journalism because it is a better fit for me. I have wanted to write since third grade in Mrs. Pratt's class. I would leave stories lying all over the house. It is just something I enjoy and I think I would be much happier. I want to be able to travel and write about things that interest me. I don't think I would enjoy sitting in a doctor's office everyday. I talked to my parents about it and they are happy as long as I am happy. They never asked me to be a doctor, that was just my decision. Now I just have to try to get out of COSAM and into Liberal Arts.

Oh and Registering for Classes at Auburn sucks! I hate Oasis!

So in a few minutes it will be my birthday and I'm really excited.
Even though at 19 all you can do is buy tobacco products.
I already got a cheesecake from Ally with different kinds in it.
And John Mayer CD & Lady and the Tramp from Matt so far.
I get something else when we go back home too.
And I'm coming home this weekend so I will get to see the family.

So thank you to all my friends for making this b'day special so far.
If tonight was so awesome, then I can't wait for tomorrow (or 15 mins. from now)

Score: Auburn-7 & LSU-3

I witnessed one of the best games in Auburn history.
It was so loud in Jordan-Hare. It was so awesome.
I was so happy until I got beer dumped on me when we won. lol.

And Michigan killed Notre Dame.
That makes Auburn #2 in the nation. Hell yeah!

Now I just need my man Kasey Kahn to win tomorrow.

I just have to say that this has been a good week for me.
I've done some serious thinking & I finally have been able to close a door in my life. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can breathe again.
Matt and I are getting along really well. We even went grocery shopping together.
The weather is cooling off a bit and it is perfect for afternoon walks.
I'm doing well in all my classes so far and that is always something to celebrate.
I have lost 5 lbs. from walking everywhere and going to the Student Activity Center.
Plus I found a new tennis partner, my buddy Kaitlin.
And finally...it is LSU weekend. WAR DAMN EAGLE!

Who says you can't go home... [Sep. 9th, 2006|12:18 pm]

I'm home for the first time from Auburn. It is kinda weird being back.
But it so good to be in my own bed & to see my family, puppy dog, and kitty.

I really love it at Auburn though. My classes are going great & I just took my first test.
Even my roomates and I are getting along again. Plus I have made some new friends.
Kaitlin, Neil, Torrey, and Amanda are my little group I study with for Biology.
Kaitlin and I really click and we have a lot of fun together.
Amanda Pinto is my lab partner and we laugh more than we work. It's great.
Rachel and I have history together, but she gets busy with her sorority stuff.
Plus I'm still spending lots of time with Matt, Ally, Martin, Tubbi, and Grund

Ally and I went to the Clay game last night. It was really good to see everybody.
I missed my Colorguard girls especially. The guard looked huge spread across the field.
The band seemed smaller than they used to be. I guess I'm used to Auburn.
But I liked the show, especially Music of the Night with the Phantom flags.
I just want to tell the guard to keep working at it. It is only the second game.
Don't let Mrs. Ezell get you down, you know how she gets. She just wants perfection.
I think honestly it was good. Just get that first toss down & clean up the rough spots.
The highstepper's routine is soo cute too and they made great facial expressions.
Just make sure the kicks are together and ya'll have got it made.
I think the band should still get the chance to compete. That isn't fair to the seniors.
Plus I'm coming home the weekend of my birthday and I wanted to go to the contest.

But in other news, Ally and I are going to try-out for Auburn's Colorguard for next year. All I have to do is get good grades this semester and my parents said I could do it. They got a new choreographer and their work has gotten a lot better. I'm excited. I just really miss being a part of the band. Plus I already know a lot of people in it.

P.S. Congratulations to my buddy, Daniel Jones, for getting the lead in the play.
I know you are going to be hilarious. & Congrats to Byrd for getting a good part.
I can't wait to see it.

P.S.S. John Vaugh just kicked a 55 yard field goal, his career high!!! Omg!!!

Funny story:
I had to walk from my house to the SCA (Science Center) in 10 mins. for Pre-Health. It ended up taking a little bit longer than it normally does, so I start sprinting. So I am only at the stadium and I'm crossing the road when a security guard stops me. He tells me I have to walk all the way around to some crosswalk instead of where I'm at. I tell him that I have 3 mins. to get to class and I don't have time. He steps in front of me. So I just dodge him and take off running away and cutting across the grass and construction. He was big and fat so I didn't think he was chasing me. I never turned to look though. Moral of the story. I made it to class on time and got a good laugh at myself. Now I just have to go the long way home to avoid him. Haha.

I got my haircut! It's so cute.
It is about shoulder length with layers.
And I got it highlighted a light brown.
I love it!
